#Blocchiamotutto. Collettivo Chiaroscuro joins the statement by Siamo ai titoli di coda in support of the general strike on 3 October

Cinema and live performance workers join the general strike for the Global Sumud Flotilla ROME, 2 October –

The movement SIamo ai titoli di coda from the film and audiovisual sector announces its full support for the national strike called by the unions USB and CGIL and invites all workers and citizens to take part as fully as possible in the mobilisations of the coming days. Our call to action arises in response to the grave blockade of the Global Sumud Flotilla, an act that violently suppresses an initiative of peace and international solidarity. The flotilla is not only a form of humanitarian aid, but also a powerful symbol of the struggle for human rights and the freedom of the Palestinian people. Preventing its voyage means silencing a voice of peace and justice.

As cultural and film workers, our work is founded on the defence of freedom of expression and on telling the stories of human dignity. We cannot remain indifferent or silent in the face of such blatant injustice. For this reason, we embrace the unions’ call and amplify with determination the cry #blocchiamotutto.

Halting film sets, theatres, offices and productions is not only a trade union act, but also a gesture of civic and political responsibility. It is our way of showing that culture is not an isolated bubble, but an integral part of a society that struggles and does not give up. We invite all our colleagues in the sector, and all citizens, to join us at the following crucial gatherings to raise a single, powerful voice:

Tomorrow, Friday 3 October, at 10:30 AM — GENERAL STRIKE
📍 Rally in Rome at Piazza dei

Cinquecento (Palazzo Massimo)

This is the time to join our forces and show that solidarity is stronger than any blockade.
