The Collettivo Chiaroscuro (CCS) is collaborating with the Milano Film Network (MFN) on the “In Progress” training project, a production lab for the development of audiovisual projects by young directors, and the first Italian workshop dedicated to this crucial phase of the creation of a film. Collettivo Chiaroscuro responded to the call for cinematographers to support the participants’ projects: Michele Brandstetter (CCS), Eleonora Contessi (CCS), Andrea Benjamin Manenti (CCS), Gianluca Palma, and Stefano Paradiso (CCS), professionals from various generations, backgrounds, and genders, will engage in dialogue with the young authors of the programme on 7 July in Milan. For the Collettivo, this represents an opportunity for exchange and growth, in line with its goal of fostering meetings and training (read the CCS Manifesto).
In Progress MFN selects 15 young authors each year to guide them through the development phase of their works. This year, the workshop is led by mentors Michelangelo Frammartino, Carlo Hintermann, and Alessandro Rossetto, and culminates in the writing of a first treatment and the preparation of an artistic dossier. At the end of the programme, the projects will be presented during the Milano Industry Day in Venice, where an international jury will award the best with a cash prize of €5,000 and other in-kind prizes.
