Born in Rome in 1986 to a Greek father and an Italian mother, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and took her first steps in the publishing world before deciding to pursue her passion for cinematography and visual storytelling. She was then selected to attend the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, where she graduated in Cinematography under the mentorship of Giuseppe Rotunno.
After completing her studies, she moved to London, initially working as a camera assistant before developing her own projects as a director of photography on several short films. She later returned to Italy for the shooting of the documentary film Normal which was selected for the Panorama section at the Berlinale 2019. She continued to work on both auteur documentaries, Caveman – Il gigante nascosto, presented at Venice Giornate degli Autori 2021, and television projects, such as the docu-series The Young Berlusconi, distributed by Netflix in 2024.
At the same time, she worked in Greece as the cinematographer for the fiction films REM – Rapid Eye Movement and Tranzit, both selected for the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. This experience led her to become a member of the GSC – Greek Society of Cinematographers.
In 2024, she was selected for the prestigious Berlinale Talents program at the Berlin Film Festival, where she won a competition promoted by ARRI Lighting to celebrate the company’s centenary. The latest documentary she worked on, REAL, was selected for the Locarno Film Festival and is currently in the running for both the David di Donatello and the Nastri d’Argento awards for Best Documentary.
