The Art of Italian Cinematography and Beyond

From January 5, THE CRIMES OF BARLUME return, blending comedy with human landscapes. Photography by Alessio Valori CCS

On 5, 12 and 19 January, new stories from I delitti del BarLume return on Sky Cinema and NOW. The Sky Original collection is produced by Sky Studios and Palomar. I delitti del BarLume represent one of the most recognisable fixtures of recent Italian television drama, having over the years turned the Italian provinces into an ironic, affectionate and profoundly human narrative microcosm.

The photography by Alessio Valori continues to enhance the visual identity of BarLume without freezing it, accompanying the characters with a sober and measured gaze, favoring natural light that reflects the passage of time, the seasons, and small daily rituals. Pineta is never a postcard, but a lived-in space: warm interiors, exteriors bathed in soft light, and colors that support the ironic tone without ever slipping into caricature.

The series, based on short stories by Marco Malvaldi, confirms the creative team that has been key to its success, with production by Sky Studios and Palomar.
