The #Siamoaititolidicoda Organising Committee Calls for a Return to the Streets During the Nastri d’Argento Awards

We share the appeal from the #Siamoaititolidicoda Organising Committee.

Dear colleagues, following the recent demonstration on 4th June [pictured], and after several attempts to raise awareness among institutions to initiate a constructive dialogue aimed at speeding up the issuance of additional decrees and seeking support measures for the film and audiovisual sector, we are returning to the streets with even greater determination. We wish to make it clear that we cannot and do not want to disappear in silence.

We therefore issue a call, inviting everyone to participate in a peaceful, united, and collective demonstration on 27th June, at the parking area adjacent to Piazza Mancini, near the MAXXI Museum in Rome, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, coinciding with the 2024 Nastri d’Argento awards ceremony, with a static protest right in front of the museum. Our aim is to once again highlight that the film industry is not in good health, and the longer we go without concrete solutions, the more workers and their families will face irreparable economic hardships, with serious consequences for the sector itself.
