The Art of Italian Cinematography and Beyond

Lorenzo Scudiero

Born in 1996 in Rovereto, a small city located in the north east of Italy, Lorenzo grows up surrounded by the landscape of the southern edge of the Italian Alps. The deep connection with nature he has perceived since his childhood brings him to create images with his analogue camera showing young people searching for adventure in the wilds. In 2015 he graduates in cinema and photography at Liceo Artistico F. Depero and right after he moves to Milan to work as a photographer and study cinema at Scuola Civica Luchino Visconti. To deepen knowledge of light and camerawork, in 2017 he starts to attend the CSC – National Film School in Rome (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia), entering the Cinematography course led by Giuseppe Lanci. Soon Lorenzo starts to receive some calls for short films and music videos and eventually he fully commits to cinematography. Then he starts to work his way up in commercial cinematography shooting campaigns for Prada, Gucci, Bugari, Pomellato, Missoni…. and with talents such as Jenna Ortega, Adrien Brody, Kim Kardashian, Post Malone, Maneskin, Elisa, Marina Abramovic… In 2023 shoots his first feature Labirinti, screened in Venice Film Festival. In 2024 attends a Masterclass in Los Angeles held by Robert Elswitt ASC and he gets selected for the ASC Vision Mentorship program.
