The presence of Collettivo Chiaroscuro cinematographers among the films vying to represent Italy at the 99th Academy Awards® is particularly significant. Of the 21 titles submitted to the Selection Committee established by ANICA for the International Feature Film Award, no fewer than nine were shot by directors of photography who are members of CCS:
Valerio Azzali CCS is the cinematographer on Quasi grazia, directed by Peter Marcias;
Marco Bassano CCS is the director of photography of Le bambine, directed by Valentina Bertani and Nicole Bertani;
Gogò Bianchi CCS is the cinematographer onGli occhi degli altri, directed by Andrea De Sica;
Daria D’Antonio CCS is the cinematographer on Primavera, directed by Damiano Michieletto;
Francesco Di Giacomo CCS is the cinematographer on Succederà questa notte, directed by Nanni Moretti;
Fabrizio La Palombara CCS is the cinematographer on Ritorno a Buenos Aires, directed by Marco Bechis;

Guido Michelotti CCS is also the cinematographer on Tre ciotole, directed by Isabel Coixet;
Giuseppe Riccobene CCS is the cinematographer on Il Vangelo di Giuda, directed by Giulio Base.
The nine films therefore involve eight CCS members, with Guido Michelotti represented by two titles.
