The Art of Italian Cinematography and Beyond

The Art of Italian Cinematography and Beyond

On 7 May at The Cineclub, the second event in the screening series Che sguardo vogliamo, promoted by Collettivo Chiaroscuro.

Che sguardo vogliamo is an initiative by Collettivo Chiaroscuro born out of a reflection on the limited visibility many of us experience. It stems from a deeper consideration of the difficult working times we are facing and from the desire to find a solution. Too often we make films that remain in cinemas for only three days and never even reach streaming platforms. These are films we care deeply about, yet have not been able to share with audiences, colleagues, directors or producers.

Please note that the programme has changed from the initial announcements, and that on 7 May the second event will feature a selection of short films. It will also be an opportunity to meet the directors Elisa Faccioni, Randa Maroufi, Anouk Chambaz, Camilla Cattabriga (also in her role as cinematographer), together with CCS cinematographers Eleonora Contessi, Luca Coassin and Claudia Sicuranza. The discussion will be moderated by Silvia Tarquini.

The screening series Che sguardo vogliamo is a way of coming together, sharing, and bringing greater visibility to our lesser-distributed works. See you at The Cineclub, Via Lidia 46, Rome. Discover the full programme through to December 2026.

All screenings start at 8.00 pm (the cineclub opens at 7.00 pm for drinks).
