The nominations for the David di Donatello – the most prestigious recognition in Italian cinema, awarded by the Accademia del Cinema Italiano – have been announced, and several members of the Collettivo Chiaroscuro are among the nominees, confirming a strong presence at the highest levels of national cinematography. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 6 May 2026 and, as usual, will be broadcast live on television in prime time.

Congratulations and best of luck as well to the other three cinematographers – not CCS members – nominated for Best Cinematography: Marco Graziaplena for Duse by Pietro Marcello, Renato Berta for Le assaggiatrici by Silvio Soldini, and Massimiliano Kuveiller for Le città di pianura by Francesco Sossai.
While awards are always welcome, cinema ultimately serves to foster empathy, thought and human connection, in the spirit of art.
