The ‘Belli & Dannati’ programme, promoted by the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté, closes today with Nevermind. Cinematography by Alfredo Betrò CCS

The ‘Belli & Dannati’ programme, promoted by the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté and dedicated to works that did not receive adequate attention upon their release, concludes today, Tuesday 31 March at 6:30 pm, at Spazio Scena (Via degli Orti d’Alibert 2, Rome). The final screening features Nevermind, directed by Eros Puglielli and presented as a premiere at the Festa del Cinema di Roma. Cinematography by Alfredo Betrò CCS.

Structured as an episodic narrative, the film interweaves stories shaped by paradoxical and unsettling situations, maintaining a balance between a grotesque register and existential reflection. The cast includes Paolo Sassanelli, Giulia Michelini, Massimo Poggio and Andrea Sartoretti, bringing to life a narrative universe in which contemporary obsessions and fears emerge through an ironic and disorienting writing style. The film received the Audience Award at the Fantafestival.

The evening will follow the format of the programme, with an introductory presentation, the screening, and a discussion with the director afterwards, moderated by Boris Sollazzo. Admission is free subject to availability.

With this final event, the ‘Belli & Dannati’ cycle comes to a close, as does the broader season of activities of the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté at Spazio Scena. Throughout the winter months, alongside its teaching programme, the school has organised a series of public initiatives, including screenings, talks and tributes dedicated to Italian cinema. The Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté is a professional training centre of the Regione Lazio, offering a free three-year course co-funded by the European Social Fund and managed by LAZIOcrea S.p.A..
