In Progress MFN – Milano Film Network 2025: final days for applications, deadline 14 February

Milano Film Network relaunches In Progress MFN, presenting a renewed edition of the production workshop aimed at young filmmakers for the development of film projects. The workshop will begin on 15 March 2025, featuring a series of sessions held both online and in person.

Now in its 10th edition, the training programme designed by Milano Film Network will take place from mid-March to early September 2025. It will include intensive work sessions with tutors and mentors to develop film ideas, as well as a series of theoretical and practical seminars led by internationally renowned professionals. Among them is an introductory session by Sara Fgaier (Sulla terra leggeri, Gli anni).

The 10th edition of In Progress MFN will feature experienced mentors such as Carlo Hintermann (The Book of Vision, The Dark Side of the Sun, Rosy-Fingered Dawn – A Film on Terrence Malick), Martina Parenti (Bestiari, erbari, lapidari, Spira Mirabilis, Il castello, Promessi sposi), and Alessandro Rossetto (Piccola Patria, Effetto Domino, The Italian Banker, Bibione Bye Bye One). Confirmed as tutors are Alice Arecco, Ivan Casagrande Conti, Giulio Sangiorgio, and Luca Mosso.

This year’s edition will maintain its hybrid format, with most sessions held in person in Milan and other locations. The programme includes two special trips: the first to Trento, made possible by a new partnership with FORWARD – Trentino Producers Lab, a professional training and mentoring programme for emerging producers organised by Trentino Film Commission, and the second to Udine, thanks to the collaboration with Fondo Audiovisivo FVG and CNA Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Application deadline: 14 February 2025.
